DescriptionWood clothespin, one-piece forked peg, light brown color with some discoloration. Opening of clothespin goes approximately two-thirds up pin. Inscriptions on three sides of the pin read: "Made about 1820"; "Made by Timothy Austin, Highgate, Vt."; and "Owned by Mrs. Lucinda Coon, daughter of Timothy Austin."
