DescriptionTumi knife, ceremonial, often non-functional. Decoration: cut-out (openwork) on the "handle" area, engraved on the "blade." The figures are 2 humans with legs in characteristic position of late Intermediate North Coastal designs. The heads and headdresses, however, are atypical and possibly dubious, as are the very simplified and poorly-engraved scrolls on the blade. If genuine, possibly Sican culture, Late Intermediate period, ca. 1000-1200.
