DescriptionBrass jar. Has wide decorated top. The shape of the jar: flares out slightly at the base, narrow at the body, and then gets increasingly wider to the lip. The top inch or so highly decorated-the edge of the top is cut in a zigzag manner, while the rest of the lip of the jar is lined with two rows of small triangular holes. The brass throughout the jar is slightly blackened, and was probably purchased around time of Spanish American War as "tourist art."On View
