DescriptionThere are three scenes. Above, a rajah dallies with a courtesan who presents him with a small cup, perhaps of wine. A lady attendant looks on, holding a flask. A white stone archway and door are seen in the background and an ochre canopy stretches from the archway over the rajah. Two white cranes fly in the distant sky. Below a lady bathes in a fountain with a flock of geese nearby. To the viewer's right, a prince and a courtier converse on a balcony. The architecture is late Mughal.
