DescriptionLarge necklace of lower jaw bones of small mammal, seed shells and reed sections. 62 lower jaw bones (or fragments) with teeth intact. Tooth pattern is as such (in the majority of bones): The bones are strung together in groups of two (although twice in groups of 3, twice in group of 1). Between these groups are yellow-orange hollow reed sections 3-4 cm long. 3 of these 32 reed sections are brown. The necklace is strung on a woven string. Attached to this string in 5 different sections around the necklace are 5 other strings which hang off. They are each respectively 28 cm, 32 cm, 25 cm, 29 cm, and 26 cm long. About 35-40 brown seed shells are pierced through top and strung on to each individual section. Inside the shell on each end is a cut piece of red fabric. Also attached to the main string of the necklace is a chain of circular woven fibers, 21 cm long. Bone colors vary from light cream color to brown.
