DescriptionLeggings cut and sewn from deerskin. Leggings are long and rectangular and have 2" fringe cut into the bottom part. It is basically a cream color skin except for the decorated areas. All the sewing has been done with sinew. A bias of navy blue wool has been sewn along the top edge of the leggings. Directly under that is an edging of deerskin cut into triangles. A 12x1.5" strip or quill worn extends from the triangle trim to the 7" v-shaped slit at the bottom of the leggings. The 12" strip has been created from cross hatched quills, white and blue (aqua & medium) quills mixed in (I think that most of the white area was dark pink, but is now faded or has been washed out); 2.5" darker yellow fringe boders each side of the quill strip; the bottom fringe is faded orange- red color.
