DescriptionGypseous alabaster relief of a winged deity (genie). Profile view of genie with wings on back. The figure is dressed in layers of tunics and shawls with fringed edges, as well as jewelry and sandals. The figure's long beard and hair are tucked under a horned headdress. The genie carries a bucket in the right hand and a cone in the left. The left arm is bent and held outstretched at eye level. The right arm is extended, resting right in front of the right leg. There is a twenty line cuneiform inscription over the lower portion of the relief. The relief is divided into three horizontal sections. From Ashurnasirpal II's palace, Nimrud (ancient Kahlu), present-day Iraq.
