DescriptionChordophone. A long-necked fretted fiddle with a skin sound table. Shaped like a peacock, with curved neck and legs. Fingerboard is the tail. A hybrid instrument, body of a single piece of wood, like the sarangi. Resonater is waisted and rectangular. Neck has a convex wooden fingerboard and thick, curved brass frets. Similar to a dilruba. 19 strings go through holes in a bone? bridge. Has two tuning pegs.
