DescriptionBlack cabinet with gold-laquered, robed, standing figure on carved base within. The figure appears to be a Buddha or bodhisattva, hair in topknot, bindi, hands in mudras, standing on lotus, with floral sun carving behind head with rays pointing out around head. Behind the sun piece is a reflective surface, either polished metal or glass mirror. Cabinet is simple, black laquered, with some etched brass pieces decorating doors, hinges and handles/lock.
