DescriptionTwined construction of spruce root with two broad bands of design of false embroidery. Top step-like motif in red and dark brown called "Shaman's hat" or "spirit around the head" (Turnbaugh & Turnbaugh p. 154) of bear grass or maidenhair fern. Lower band of hour-glass shaped motifs in yellow and red. Knotted coiled start. Three narrow bands or checkered dark brown and natural at base, 1/3 up side, and rim. Red and yellow (aniline dyes?). Berry basket. No handle "unfinished?"On View
