DescriptionMedium to small-sized hook. Shank of shell, barb of tortoise shell. Snood made up of 2 parts, a shorter twisted cord (ma tai afo) and a longer (usually 20+ feet), 3-ply braided sennit rope. The hook differs from the pa'atu hook in that the pa'atu have white feathers attached to the point and no fiber hackle, (hank of loose fibers that was bound as in a hackle.).
