DescriptionDish carved with front half of animal at either end. The heads are the same and may represent a wolf. The teeth are bared and the ears lie along the sides of the dish. The forepaws of the animal form the feet of the dish and are by the animal's jaw as if it were lying down. The teeth are painted white; the lips, a dull red; the nostrils and inside of the ears are bright red; the eyes, eyebrows, top of paws, outline of nostrils and ears are black; the claws are yellow. Surface is quite smooth. Tlingit Indians (source of attribution?)
