DescriptionHead of Buddha, carved in blended schist; mounted on a wooden block; head is carved from charcoal colored schist with patterned hair and bun atop head; back of the head is cut off as well as the left ear; numerous gouges, pits and cracks appear all over face; notably the left temple, nose, lips, chin and right ear.
