DescriptionSt. James is standing, dressed in the garb of a pilgrim. He wears a heavy traveller's cloak with a folded collar over a floor length undergarment. On his head is a hat with the front brim turned up to the cap; on the brim is a scallop shell. In his left hand, which is covered by the cloak, James holds a book. His right hand is free and is raised in what appears to be a blessing position.
