DescriptionVertical composition with arched top edge. Scene showing a Dutch interior with an ornamental carpet. A male figure stands next to a female figure and there is a globe displayed on a table in front of them. The man faces and gazes at the woman who gazes at the globe. She wears a white dress with gold metallic decorations, a pearl necklace, and a red carnation in the neckline of her dress; he has a compass in one hand and a large black soft hat in the other.
