DescriptionThe head is made of light orange-colored clay. It is wearing a headdress quite like a helmet. The forehead is high, the eyes slant toward the nose and are incised. The nose is angular and protrudes from the smooth surface of the face; the upper lip is turned back exposing the rest of the mouth; the chin is broad and flat. The neck is thick and like a column. The reverse of the head is concave. Style of head is "Olmec", therefore the whole figure might have been seated and/or asymmetrical.On View
