DescriptionTerra cotta whistle in the form of a person carrying a child on their left hip. The mouthpiece of the whistle serves as a third leg of the tripod. Modelling is by coils of clay applied to the body. The adult figure is wearing a headdress with chin strap, earrings, necklace, loin cloth, and shoes. The child is wearing a similar headdress, smaller earrings, and a cloak around its shoulders. The faces, legs and arms are painted black with bitumin, a petroleum derivative.
