DescriptionWooden antelope with elaborate carved open-work mane, long curved horns. Surface geometric carving on the face, diagonal lines on the horns. Surface encrusted with rough substance and remains of lime or chalk.Used in rites Re-enacting the mythical beginnings of agriculture. Worn by dancers when the headpieces are mounted on basketry caps.
