DescriptionThe rescue of baby Krishna from prison at Mathura, to save him from death by the hand of his uncle, King kannsa; prison guards are asleep; the river is the River yamuna (south of Delhi); the tiger and multi-headed snake serve as protectors of Krishna in the escape; the man bearing the baby is his father, Vasudeva, who took the child to the place Gokul
