DescriptionLarge elongated oval serving dish, made of wood with a bent-wood rim. Dish has an overall reddish tinge to it, possibly from the wood itself or perhaps an applied red pigment. Dish is fairly deep with a figure painted onto the bottom of the dish with black pigment or paint. Figure has a large toothy grin and large eyes. rim of bowl is of one piece of wood which has been steam-bent and secured with a copper rivet. The bowl is somewhat shiny overall.
