DescriptionWooden antelope with elaborate carved open-work mane, long curved horns. Surface geometric carving on the face, diagonal lines on the horns. Surface encrusted with rough substance and remains of lime or chalk.
Used in rites Re-enacting the mythical beginnings of agriculture. Worn by dancers when the headpieces are mounted on basketry caps.
