DescriptionSide one: large head of a man, neck slants toward lower right corner. Left ear of man shown. Done in bold pencil strokes, geometric shading on face. To right of large head is a female profile facing downwards. Lower left of large head is a similar profilefacing left but scribbled out. On the left edge upper and lower are two abstract shapes. The upper done in pencil with an orange ball attached, the lower done in orange. The entire paper is divided by three vertical lines placed 8.2 cm, 25.3 and 42.4 cm from the left edge. It is divided by three horizontal lines placed 21.4 cm, 23.9 cm and 26.3 cm from the top; these lines form six big boxes and two smaller ones; written in the top three boxes: Box 1; L box 2; D and box three; I; on the bottom row from left to right are box 1, L box 2; D and box three; I; SIDE 2: divided into 8 dark triangular shape which join in the center and fan out to the edges of the paper; the dominant color is black with orange and white used to a lesser degree; abstract shape situated over triangles background; thre sun-like form semi-circle from center towards top right; center sun is orange middle, next is a smaller orange sun, and at top is a black one; white forms come from paper not applied color; more of the forms are orange and bulbous; the lower left side has an orange form similar to a hand, within a white space; the hand form has a black mark over it; four of the triangles are roughed in ith crayon while 4 seem to be painted with watercolor; the piece is signed by Margules, Gorky and Noguchi and dated '39 in the lower right corner in orange crayon.
