DescriptionWooden male twin figure wearing thundergod (Ewu Shango) cowrie-beaded cloak. The cloak covers the entire figure from the neck down. The cloak is coarsely woven with dark cloth/fiber (which may have been white) overall application of cowrie shells. Facial features (which are carved) included a closed mouth, with defined lipes, wide nose, ears set back on side of head. Eyes are surrounded with a diamond shape, around a hole, made from a nail. Top of the head is made to look like a crown. The figure stands on a round base.On View
