DescriptionTwo large cowrie shells are pierced at their ends and fastened to a long, thin rod of metal and a wooden stick. One shell at either end. The metal and wood is wrapped in what appears to be a brown paper bag material, which itself is wrapped in some thin bark or reed. Covering this all around is an intricate weaving of ropework. Attached to this ropework are six long and six short dangling woven sections. Each long section is paired with a short section, the long below the short. Both long and short increase in length from left to right. At the end of each long section is a circular woven pattern that sticks out. A thick braided rope is attached at one end of the top for hanging (probably has come untied from other end)On View
