DescriptionSquare box with lid which appears to be made primarily of palm leaf strips. Bark/reed runs vertically up each corner and around bottom and top. 3 sides are split into 6 sections of alternation colors - from top, red, natural, brown, red, natural, red. Upon the 4th side, a lotus pattern is embroidered with small cowrie shells. Colors on the background/ palm leaf on the side are black, orange, and natural. Small flake/smears of green and blue paint are visible. Red pigment smeared around top and non-cowrie embroidered sides. Cover begins 24 cm from bottom.On View
