DescriptionTwo pieces of deerskin, sinew-sewn together and stuffed to form four oblong pads. Red stroud trim around edges. rawhide strap laced across center and covered by self-fringed deerskin saddle seat. Separately attached skin side flaps perforated for attachment of girth straps (missing). Beaded rectangular flaps with colored yarn fringe and cloth backing attached to corners. Four loop pendants with black cloth interiors trimmed with skin decorated with pink and white beads and yarn tassels. Corner of saddle embroidered with beaded decoration of concentric diamonds an circles. Beaded decoration of saddle and flaps in light, medium and dark blue, white yellow, orange, white-core rose, and translucent red and green.
