DescriptionWooden chordophone with 14 pegs coming out of the side of the neck. The bottom of the neck is hollow, and the instrument itself was carved out of a single piece of wood. There is an ivory bridge through which the strings pass. This particular sarangi has been separated from its bow, which is used to vibrate the strings (similar to the violin).On View
