DescriptionOpen shield shaped back with carved details. The rear legs are attached to the sides of the shield, they are tapered and have a backward cant. The top rail is arched with an inlaid rossette below the arch. The opening of the sheild is completed by forked leaves within an open V-shaped and drapery festoons. The arms are bowed with inlaid rosette (matches the one in the top rail but smaller) at the very end and are supported by curvate posts placed just behind the front legs. The front legs are squared and tapered with a slight outward splay and have inliad trim. The seat is recatangular and covers the side rail. the upholstry is needlepoint with black background and circular rose motif of pink and pale greens.On View
