DescriptionMechanical bank made of thin metal, possibly tin, depicting a caricatured African American man in red tails, blue and white striped trousers, a yellow waistcoat, and a yellow top hat. His arm is mechanized so that when a coin is added, he will doff his hat. He is standing on a grassy pedestal, which transitions into a plain red base. The bank is made from two pieces of metal that are joined along a central seam with metal tabs.
