DescriptionSmall lava stone figure, a so-called "standard bearer" form derived from the previous Post-Classic Toltec culture. Statue is rough hewn and simply modelled. Figure is seated with knees drawn up to chest. The hands are placed on the knees. Thumb and index finger form a ring. Identified as god Zochipilli. He was a patron of love, dances, games, and the symbol of summer. Possibly from region of Colimaor after its style.
