DescriptionAn open tent is set up on the the grass by the shore. Inside the tent a woman in white and two children, one in a hammock. Several lambs are in the tent. The sky is clear and the sun is bright. Sailboats can be seen in the background. The colors are very clean and bright; the scene was previously thought to be the Mass. coast between Cape Ann and Gloucester; now generally agreed to be Eassthampton, NY on Long Island.
