DescriptionSilver pocket watch, with painting. French movement.

Elaborate pocket watch with enamel scene painted on face and a peephole into elaborately decorated movement. Inner movement is etched with leafy motifs and the adjustment is printed in French: "Avance" et "Retard." Case is rather simple and worn. Face has an Arcadian figural image of a woman with a basket and a girl petting a lamb. Actual clock face is simple and small. Loose gear is painted, treated, or anodized blue around center. Face is backed by copper.
