Description5 pointed lamp of copper or bronze, has extension in back with 2 oblong openings. Roman style open lamp purchased in the south of France.Round shallow dish with flaring lip, attached to a rectangular stem that has a hook attached at top, probably for hanging. A key-type piece of brass is attached that is broken off at end. Stem has two comb-like protrusions of metal at mid-length, and is stamped with a pattern of crescent moons and stars. Six fine lines incised around inside of dish.
