DescriptionEmbroidery sampler worked on loosely woven linen ground fabric. Design appears to be unfinished. Ground fabric is hemmed on three sides. Meandering vine border and alphabet worked in counted-cross stitch over upper-left and top of piece. A variety of animal, floral and figural motifs worked in heavier wool yarn (berlin wool work) over rest ground.On View
