Descriptionprint depicts an old fishing village during a storm; buildings seem to jut directly out from the water at right; a woman is pulling in sheets off the line; the other houses are in the dark; baskets hang from windows and the dock posts at lower right; in the middle to left bottom are ships returning pulling down their masts; onw row boat is tied to the foremost fishing boat, still at half mast; two other boats are pulling in behind this one and appear at left; near these last boats is the far side of the harbour; houses can be seen faintly on left border; in the top left storm clouds roll in; below the actual frame of the print are two smaller ones, one in each corner; the one on the right is of two ships at sea, one at full mast, the other without sails up; the left one is of a sailor spreading a net on the beach to dryOn View
