DescriptionScissors of steel for trimming lamp wicks; handles painted brown and curved upwards; blades curved with ridge along outer blade to hold the part clipped. On upper blade reads "W.B. Barnard Pat'd Dec. 27th 1864."Shears with an offset handle, which has been painted brown. "W.B. BARNARD ___ PAT'D ___ DEC 27th 1864" inscribed on blade side of shear. The other side of the shear has a tray attached to its lower edge. Both grips are slightly oval and are equal in size.
