DescriptionDagger, Japanese with richly carved ivory hilt and scabbard; blade sinlge edged and dull, with gold at base near hilt; hilt is a section of a hollow tusk mounted over wood; 2 separate figures 3/4 view carved on hilt, a man and a woman with trees and clouds above them. Scabbard tusk-shaped of 3 separate sections of ivory carved correspondingly in three tiers. Figures carved are mostly Japanese warriors, 1 on horseback, and 1 woman in each of 2 upper tiers. Purple stain in groove near top of scabbard.On View
