DescriptionBraided wire over wood grip. Triangular blade, steel, needle point, Y shaped. Hilt: D types knuckle bow, kidney guard with raised floral and animal design, gold gilded, red felt scabbard guard. Grip of wood with braided wire wrapped. ball pommel (#10)18th century small sword with triangular blade. Hilt appears to have once been gilt with gold although much of covering has faded and worn. The hilt is decorated with an animal motif depicting hunting dogs and lions.
