DescriptionTapestry - ESTHER BEFORE KING AHASUERUS AND HIS COURT. A woman is kneeling at the feet of a seated man, apparently a king, wearing courtly robes and holding a golden sword in his left hand. A man is kneeling to the left of the king. A group of men and women are standing behind the principal figures. The border of alternating rondels and lozenges with bird and flower motifs was woven separately.On View
