DescriptionRelatively large flat, solid standing female of reddish clay with remains of over all yellow slip. Unlike neighboring Jalisco figures, the head is not tapered and the knees are cleanly modelled. Appliqued tiara-like headdress with pendant streamer down back and appliqued modified "coffee bean" eyes, circular ornaments on shoulders, and large apron belted in the back, the bottom 1/2 pleated and passing through the legs to attach to the belt in rear. It has an incised projection (clasp?) at the dex. hip. Procasts are modelled, arms vestigial. On View
