DescriptionCut away interior of a house in which human beings are being prepared for slaughter and finally roasted over an open hearth. In the foreground left a man catches a woman by the hair. To the right an open door to the street and several men are rummaging through a big chest. Beneath is the text. "Israel ex. Cum Privil. Reg." "Le pillage" from the set: The miseries of war No. 5 of set 18. M568, narrow margin, cut just within the plate mark, scene interior of huge kitchen - complete chaos, fighting, burning.
