DescriptionServing dish for hot food consisting of a cover, bowl and a base for hot water. Cover has handle of a sprawled out dragon with a raised head. Two types of calligraphy. Base has 2 shaped handles with 2 types of calligraphy. Four ivory supports to resist heat.The calligraphy on these dishes is inscribed in three different styles. The simplest, known as "Seal script" (shuan shu) is an ancient form of writing that was revived in the Qing Dynasty for carving inscriptions and for creating calligraphic texts.
