DescriptionBridge-spouted jar; painted polychrome mold-made earthen ware; one spout connected by strap-shaped bridge to human effigy figure; body of jar is sharply carinated with an embossed band of dots around bottom section; both these and overall shape suggests it imitates hammered metal vessels of same period; the main body rests on an outward-flared base; original paint in red, black and cream is badly worn and large areas of black on top surface are sloppily applied; iconography refers to a figure known as the "Sican Lord" (cf Stone-Miller)On View
