DescriptionMochica stirrup jar of seated effigy. Monkey seated with the soles of his feet pressed together and something in between, with his knees out to the side, hands resting on his knees. A dress-like vestements comes to the knees with a creme coloured turban and collar. The rest of the vessel has evidence of brown or red paint. The fingers, toes, and hands are defined by incised lines, very sketchily done, while the face is more detailed.On View
