DescriptionGold watch, no case.
An early 18th century pocket watch or small clock, missing its case. The clock face is white (enamel?) with the Roman numeral hours, and five minute intervals painted in black. There are two hands - an ornate hour hand, and plain minute hand - both in brass. The back of the clock is ornately decorated with brass filagree scrollwork, and is inscribed: "Steven Hoogendyk Rotterdam N. 13A". There is a dial inscribed with the numbers 1-6, with a pendulum on a coil in front of them, two small pointing hands (maybe copper?) point inward toward these numbers.
