DescriptionNavy blue evening gown, Madame Gres, 1962; appears to be made out of a very fine weave nylon. It is a full length evening gown w/a halter-type sleeveless V-neck bodice w/ pleats gathering at a high waist then continuing down into the skirt. The back of the dress has a semi-open back created when the shoulder straps come around and fasten at the base of the neck and then divide to be sewn at the bottom scoop of the bodice; creating armholes and a semi-open back. A zipper starts from the bottom of the bodice and continues about 8" down. A belt completes the ensamble and is tied around the waist.
