DescriptionGerman cup-hilted rapier with detailed punch work on the cup guard depicting a circular pattern with various layers of shape patterns including stars, circles, and diamonds. At the base of the cup are punched triangles alternating between upright and downward-pointing positions. Just above the triangles is a crosshatched pattern engraved in the cup. A decorative brim encircles base of cup. The blade includes a deep fuller on both sides with 21 holes through the blade along the fuller, which extends roughly 1/3 the length of the blade. Pommel decorated with crosshatch pattern. Long quillion with decorations at ends.On View
