DescriptionSingle piece wooden bowl. Along half the outer circumference is a handle an inch in depth. A three or four inch portion of the handle is only half an inch in depth. Three cracks are in the upper sides of the bowl. Two are approximately five inches long and are opposite each other. The third crack is approximately two inches long. All are 'repaired' with horizontal stitches of a greenish metal thread-like material through pre-drilled holes. There is some type of unknown matter used to fill the cracks. On the inside of the bowl two sets of three lines are impressed; one set near rim, the other near the base. The outside of the bowl is decorated with two sets of double lines impressed into the upper edge bowl, like the designs on the interior. Brass tacks also decorate the exterior with a geometric pattern that covers the entire circumference of the bowl.On View
