DescriptionOne piece-wedding dress of fine cotton lawn. Full-length gigot sleeves cut on the bias, tight at wrists extending down to cover part of hand. Seven rows of one-quarter inch satin cording are set into bottom four inches of sleeve, with a one-half inch ruffle at the edge. One-eighth inch satin cording is set into the underarm seam of the sleeve, and the armscye. There is a short puffed undersleeve of the same cotton also cut on the bias, with a narrow cuff edged in lace. The bodice has an oval neckline encircled by five rows of bias satin strips. Strips of bias-cut satin also follow each of the french seamlines on either side fo the back and the edge of the center back opening as far as the waistline. The skirt is gathered into the raised waistline seam, and has fifteen rows of one-quarter inch satin cording set in from approximately knee level down to the hemline, which is edged by a one inch ruffle. The dress has hook an eye closures at the center back. The bodice is lined in white cotton, as was the skirt.On View
