DescriptionGreen silk, embroidered heavily. "This kind of ankle-length dress (pashk) is worn in Baluchistan with trousers and a shawl. Common to its many versions are a heavily embroidered yoke, a long narrow panel extending nearly to the hemline, and ornate cuffs. The triangular panel just below the yoke serves as a flap to the pocket concealed within the central panel. Variations in color, geometric motifs, and stitching identfy the substyles associated with different ethnic groups in the region. This example has a subtle leaf motif worked into the green silk."
